Review the application upon submission, make sure the information is complete and legible. It is mandatory to have the full name, social security number, and the complete current or previous address including the zip code of the prospective employee in order to run an credit report. Not only will a credit report contain trade information on your applicant but more importantly a credit report contains identification information needed to screen false identities. Additionally, a drivers license number and date of birth are needed for criminal record reports and driving records. During the interview ask for a photo I.D., copy it, and compare it to the submitted employment application. . Compare addresses and information on the Driver's license to those on the employment application.
Verify current employment information, and previous residence information by written documentation. Request collaborating documentation in writing.
